Amin Lejarza Essalhi is a collaborator of the International Security Observatory, specialized in the field of international relations, geopolitics, international security and terrorism. His analyzes are focused on the geographical areas of Africa (with greater concern about the Maghreb and Sahel), Muslim World and LATAM region (special emphasis on South America).

Education: At the academic level, he has been studying law and international relations for two years at the Université de Liège (ULg). Last year he began the degree of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Salamanca (USAL). He is currently continuing his studies in Political Science and Public Management at Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC). He has done several specialization courses: International Relations at Science Po Paris, Terrorism and Counterterrorism at the University of Leiden, Geopolitics and Global Governance at ESADE and Understanding Terrorism and the Terrorist Threat at the University of Maryland. 

Professional Experience: He is a founding member of Eurodefense Joven España, collaborates with various media and writes articles for Al-Ghuraba magazine.

Hamed Wahdat Ahmadzada is a collaborator of the International Security Observatory, specialized in the field of International Relations, Diplomacy, Political Islam, Negotiation and Mediation.

Education: M.A. in Political Analysis from the Complutense University of Madrid, M.A. in International Relations from the Diplomatic School of Madrid, and B.A. in Law and Political Sciences from Kabul University, Afghanistan. Diploma on “Protection of the Individual and his Rights in Conflict Period” from the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation of Spain. Diploma on “Planning and implementation of Development Cooperation Projects” from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He holds Diploma from China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), Beijing and Diploma from the Foreign Service Academy, Islamabad.

Professional Experience: In the past 13 years he has served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan in several senior positions, with focus on areas of the Americas & Oceania, Latin American Countries, and the European Union. During his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has also served as Counselor & Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan from November 2013 till November 2016, and as Second Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Madrid from December 2006 till April 2010. From 2002 till 2004 he has collaborated with the office of the European Union Special Representative for Afghanistan.
